Super 8 by Wyndham Midland

It's my turn to leave a review.My sister and I have been coming to this hotel to use the pool in our 3rd year. Dave is amazing he makes sure the pool and hot tub are well maintained. We have no complaints in this area.We have learned that Dave is stepping up to the plate to do a fundraising for metal health for men. It will take him a few months..Hoping to see him back in the fall. He truly does a great job. All the staff at the Super 8 have grown into their roles. They look out for each other and work together. Have to say, and my sister agrees they are an amazing team. Always a minute to say hello in their busy day. The management is professional and will take a minute to say hello or give a wave and see to needs. This is truly a pet friendly hotel.Nice to see. They do have smoking areas outside, The area around the front entrance is well kept. Must say if we mean my sister and I were in the area visiting this hotel would be on the list to stay. Great staff and hotel area and rooms pool area and well-kept buffet area well stocked for breakfast.(What we have seen and chatted with other guests and returning guests. In short, it is a hotel to put on the list to stay. One final thing is good luck, Dave, and it will be greatly appreciated that you are doing a fundraiser for metal health. Hope to see you back soon. We enjoyed our stay at the super 8 hotel. Little noisy on the first night with a ball tournament. However, our stay was relatively quiet and we enjoyed it.

We had a great experience at the Super 8 Midland. Staff were amazing and made us feel welcome. Breakfast was great, Staff were attentive and made sure buffet was always full. The rooms were clean, updated, and the beds were very comfortable. The owner was onsite all weekend doing anything from welcoming guests to shovelling snow and making sure we all enjoyed our stay. We will definitely be back the next time we are in town.

Stayed here 3 nights for a hockey tournament. Great service. Hotel was full of hockey kids, and the staff and management treated them great. Lots of lost room cards and busy hallways/pool were not an issue with staff. Kids had blast, parents did too. Good breakfast, and lobby bigscreen became a safe place to watch the Jays game. Much appreciated.

Good hotel for the price. We did not use the pool or fitness area. We did not stay for breakfast. Good location, close to everything.

Friendly staff. Good place. Rooms are pretty bare but worth it.

We were happy here - the staff were friendly, price reasonable if booked ahead. We needed another night but they were fully booked - they gave us late checkout which was very helpful. Very busy yet good breakfast. Rooms a tad dated - esp conference room- but updating a hotel is very expensive. - that’s why 300 a night is average for hotels. I have stayed at places that were the least expensive ( Barrie travelodge) and after 1 night, noticed “bugs” ( I won’t say it, lest it be associated with this hotel). There was a sign at front desk - no refunds for any reason, so I was stuck staying the next night,. Put everything into my car and checked the bed before getting in that night. I think if you had any issue here at super 8, they would fix Immediatley. We stayed in dif. Room 2 years ago - it was actually quite dated- but it looks like they’ve made some improvements since then. And I’ll take dated over dirty any day!

Staff is polite and knowledgeable. Rooms need refreshing as you could see old picture frame lines on the walls. Should be two luggage holders in each room. No info pamphlets on hotel amenities in the room. Early check in fee of $50. As reported in other reviews, staff must keep up replacing the hot food for breakfast.
